One of the most interesting mechanics is discovering the hidden boos in the game. Mario games are known all over the world for having tons of hidden content. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is no exception to this rule and provides a lot of discoverable content that players can enjoy.

The game has a total of 16 boos that Luigi can capture. However, the boos will only appear in a room that you have already been to before. They will never appear in a place that you’re visiting for the first time.

How to Find and Capture Boos

Upon visiting each room, you will discover that the boos are hidden in a specific container. If you end up opening the incorrect box, the boo will summon bats that will proceed to attack Luigi. The game has a mechanic that will help you guess the controller right every single time.

The default Nintendo switch controller contains a vibrating feature known as the HD Rumble. Once you move closer to the correct container, the controller will start vibrating excessively. If the controller is vibrating incessantly, then you can trust in the fact that you’re picking the right box.

You can easily find several lists on the internet that’ll tell you the precise locations of the boos. However, these lists aren’t entirely reliable. The location of the boos will always depend on random generation. Mastering the rumble mechanic will means that no matter which level the boo shows up, you will easily find them.

Once you successfully encounter a boo, you can engage in a battle to capture them. Gamers will need to focus their Dark-Light device on the boo. Focusing on the device will stun the boo and leave it vulnerable to the player. The player can then proceed to grab the boo with Poltergust and slam it into the ground. You will need to perform the entire process on each boo twice to capture.

There’s no need to worry about any boo escaping. If you fail an encounter, the boo will move to a different location on the same floor. Keep searching on the floor, and you will easily find the boo.

What’s the Reward for Capturing all Boos?

Luigi’s Mansion offers a fun reward for the capture of all boos. Once you successfully capture all of them, players get a new flashlight. The flashlight will project an image of the boo whenever you use the torch. While the reward may not live up to the standard of other Mario games, capturing the boos is so much fun you’ll do it anyway.
