The Best Sims 4 Mods That You Have to Absolutely Try to Have Fun

It’s been more or less five years since The Sims 4 was initially released. It was a game that appreciated the novelty of being a god and allowed the players to enact their holy justice upon anyone. Since then the player base has grown incredibly strong, and sales have reached new heights. This is due to the constant support the game has received from its developers. Not to mention, perhaps the most reliable foundation to this block: Mods.

It’s undeniable that mods play a massive part in shaping the community. Part of the blessing of being part of the Master race PC is that you can experience the glory of Mods. And The Sims 4 is no exception as there are myriads of mods available to download for it. Here are some of the best ones:

Mammoth: MC Command Centre

If for any reason, you never felt like a proper god in The Sims 4, this mod is the remedy for that. Instead of relying on the people to develop themselves and enjoy their stories, you can instead tweak every single aspect of them. Shaping them to be, well, whatever you want them to be. You can tweak literally everything in this massive mod, which genuinely makes it the great mod that it is. You can also set times for events, meaning you don’t need to wait for your Sim to finish showering. You can also let automatic settings reign free, so you don’t have to babysit every single detail. This is the one mod to grab, even if you’re not interested in others.

The mods name is pretty quirky and self-explanatory. This mod allows you to be even more dynamic with your sims as each choice revolves around their traits and personalities, meaning there is more depth to their character than shallow game icons. Basically, a lot of personality is placed into the characters, which, in turn, makes them feel more real.

Meaningful Stories Mod

The Sims 4 is a great game, and its generally easy to get into, being accessible for anyone. However, if you want to dive further and make your Sims feel even more real, then this mod is just for you. As aforementioned, its pretty parallel to how the above mod works, as your sims behave more lifelike. You can’t simply click away a sims sadness; instead, you have to wait and let them calm down on their own pace.

Build/Buy Mode Unlocker Mod.

Most people, myself included, are not a big fan of things being locked, requiring you to do a myriad of tasks simply to unlock them. This can be quite tedious and time-hungry. To clear this, however, there is this mod which allows you to unlock every single item, meaning you can customize to your heart’s content from the get-go — such a convenient mod for the convenient people.

Fantastical Transformation Mod

There’s a possibility you might’ve gotten tired of how the Sims, in general, look. To fix this, the perfect remedy is simply to discard their Humanity. As primitive as it sounds, with the mod ‘Fantastical Transformations,’ you can turn anyone into a magical being. Want mermaids and sirens? Go for it! This mod brings light into this game by offering new species. There are other mods like this too, for example, The Sorcerer mod which allows for the conjuration of magic. The Grim Reaper mod and so on.

And anyone who wants to control the sexuality of their characters there is the ‘Gender Preference’ mod. This mod allows you to customize your characters so you can decide if they are attracted to males, females or none. This mod also affects the Grim Reaper. Imagine a night out with him.

MorphMaker Mod

If you’ve ever used the Sim creator, you should realize how robust and extensive it is. However, it entirely lacks in some areas, and that is precisely what this mod tries to offer. Instead of the traditional character creation, this mod allows you to shape the face of your Sim to be EXACTLY what you want. This includes even the most minute of details, for example, sharp fangs, ears. You can modify anyone from normal humans to aliens to pets.

Teleport Any Sim Mod

Now, this is an essential mod for anyone bothered with Vlad the Vampire coming and sucking the blood out of your sims. With this mod, you can instantly teleport Sims around, but more importantly, you can make individual Sims simply go away. So next time, Vlad comes into town, just click on him and use the command ‘Just Go Away’ to send him crying back to his mommy.

Get to College Mod

For anyone missing the university life from the Sims 2 and 3, then this is the mod for you, as it allows your Sims to get back into the college life. They can attend lectures, carry out education-related activities, or even study in hopes of a good grade. It truly brings a great college experience into the game. Alternatively, you can use the ‘University Career’ which will let your Sims become a teacher. However, this won’t let you enter the classrooms.
