Perks are beneficial skills and abilities that can aid you in your game. Perks expedite accomplishing their respective objective. You can unlock up to four Perk Slots for you to choose Perks. There are many ways to unlock a Perk. If you unlock a Perk once, it will not be lost. Survivors and Killers have Perks exclusive to them. In this article, we will be going over some of the best Survivor Perks in Dead by Daylight to help you deal with that annoying Killer.
10. Urban Evasion
Years of evading the cops taught you a thing or two about stealth. Your movement speed while crouching is increased by 90/95/100 %.
If you are someone who prefers to be a stealthy player and avoid chases as much as possible, Urban Evasion is the Perk for you; even otherwise this Perk turns out to be really handy. Urban Evasion lets you move at a much faster rate while crouching allowing you to maintain a low profile without compromising a lot of speed.
The speed boost you receive varies according to the rarity of your Perk. This Perk helps you avoid chases and makes your character harder to see. Surprisingly, this Perk also counters Killers who are short as they have more trouble seeing over obstacles than tall Killers. This unfavorable condition of theirs leads to short Killers failing to spot Survivors hiding behind obstacles.
After performing a rushed vault, break into a sprint at 150 % of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds. Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds. Lithe cannot be used while Exhausted. You do not recover from Exhaustion while running.
This Perk is excellent in helping you escape from a chase as it enables you to break the line of sight of the Killer. This Perk needs a window or something similar to use this Perk as it activates when you vault rush. The downside of this Perk is that, unlike other exhaustion Perks, this Perk creates a noise notification when you vault rush; but the drastic speed boost definitely makes this Perk a viable choice.
8. Iron Will
You’re able to concentrate and enter a meditative-like state to numb some pain. Grunts of pain caused by injuries are reduced by 50/75/100 %.
This Perk performs multiple things to help increase your survival rate. The Iron Will Perk helps to lose the Killer easier when you are breaking their line of sight by letting you juke the Killer during situations that you would not be able to otherwise and reduces the penalty for being injured so you can put off healing yourself for later. This Perk takes it all in by making you feel numb to pain by entering a meditative-like state to speak in real-life terms. It is a really good Perk and can help your chances of success.
This Perk provides you with a vast amount of advantages in your trials in Dead by Daylight. The Bond Perk allows you to be able to see your team members when they are within a specific range which varies based on the rarity of your Perk. Being able to know where your team members are, provides you with an advantage as it comes with numerous benefits. Using this Perk can have a significant impact on deciding the outcome of a match.
6. Self Care
Using the Self-Care Perk is a no brainer. It allows you to heal yourself without even without a Med-Kit. This ability can come in handy a lot of times in your game. It also increases the efficiency of a Med-Kit self-heal depending on the rarity of your Perk. This Perk can come in handy while you are in a pinch, and as a Survivor in Dead by Daylight, you should always be prepared for the worst-case scenario.
5. Dead Hard
Activate-able Perk. You can take a beating. When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage. Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward. During the dash, you avoid damage. Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
The Dead Hard Perk grants you an extra hit point. When the Killer is after you, you are able to waste more of the Killer’s time by distracting him by becoming bait so that the Killer comes after you while your team members can do what needs to be done. The extra hit point lets you take a hit and then potentially let you escape. But be careful as if the Killer realizes that you have the Dead Hard Perk, they may stop chasing you and go after your vulnerable team members. Overall, it a fantastic Perk which has a high impact on the outcome of a match.
4. Balance Landing
Your agility is incomparable. Cat-like reflexes reduce your stagger duration from falls by 75 %. Upon landing, start sprinting at 150 % of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds if not exhausted. Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
The Balanced Landing Perk is one of the most popular exhaustion Perk in Dead by Daylight. This Perk grants you a speed boost when you fall down, and the recovery time is reduced. Almost every map in Dead by Daylight has a ledge that you can drop off from to gain a speed boost and the recovery time from falls gives you a lot of possibilities. The Balanced Landing Perk will save your life countless times in chases, and this Perk has a significant impact on the outcome of the match.
3. Decisive Strike
Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape. After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60 seconds. While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer‘s grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.
Although this Perk was nerfed and is not as strong as it used to be, it is still a viable option to take into your games. Decisive Strike lets you escape the Killer’s grasp and stabbing them is game-breaking as it both saves your life as well as wastes their time by stunning them.
It is aimed more at countering camping and tunneling Killers as it only lasts 60 seconds after you get unhooked. However, it still helps at the time of adversity. This Perk allows you to bully and mess with the Killer while your team members can do the essential things, eventually letting you all escape.
2. Borrowed Time
You are fuelled with an unexpected energy when saving an Ally from a Hook within the Killer‘s Terror Radius. After unhooking a Survivor within the Killer‘s Terror Radius, for 15 seconds, any damage taken that would put the unhooked Survivor into the Dying State will instead apply the Deep Wound Status Effect. The Survivor has 10/15/20 seconds to mend themselves. If the unhooked Survivor takes any damage while affected by Deep Wound or if its timer ends, the unhooked Survivor is immediately put into the Dying State.
This Perk is excellent as it allows you to rescue your teammates from Hooks with enemy campers around while also giving them a momentary movement speed boost and allowing them to be able to take one-shot attacks for you. One downside of this Perk is that it can only activate when you are inside the Terror Radius of the Killer. This flaw allows Killers who have short Terror Radii to be able to camp. Nonetheless, Borrowed Time is an excellent Perk overall and can save you and your friends from Killers multiple times.
You are fuelled by unexpected energy when on the verge of escape. Instantly heal one Health State and sprint at 150 % of your normal running speed for 5 seconds when the Exit Gates are powered. Adrenaline is on hold if you are disabled at the moment it should take effect and will activate when freed. Adrenaline will wake you up if you are asleep when it triggers.
This Perk is a must-have in your Perk Slot as it is a game-changing Perk. It increases your speed drastically; by 150% of your regular speed to be exact. And it also heals you by one state. This Perk is a lifesaver. The speed boost can help you escape while in a chase. And the added health allows you to take in a few hits as well as allowing you to perform quite a few insane plays that you probably would not do otherwise. This Perk has saved many players time and time again. It is one of the best Survivor Perks in Dead by Daylight without a doubt.
